The Superga 2750 was the first to master vulcanized rubber for the court in 1925. A century later, we’re still using the same hand-extracted natural fiber because nature doesn't need an upgrade. Discover why the original is still the best.

Superga’s most iconic silhouette celebrates a century of history. Born on the tennis courts, it remains the perfect match point between tradition and innovation. A timeless icon of Italian style, perfect for everyday wear.
Since 1925, the Superga 2750 has defined Italian elegance. Born in Turin and rooted in heritage, its classic cotton upper is more than a shoe—it’s a blank canvas for reinvention and original style.

From the forest to the sole, our rubber is harvested manually from Southeast Asia to preserve its natural integrity. By honoring traditional craftsmanship, we guarantee a level of durability and flexibility that synthetic alternatives simply cannot match.
A renowned natural fiber, cotton remains the essential material for the 2750 upper. Chosen for its breathability and distinct tactile feel, our high-quality canvas ages beautifully, ensuring your Supergas look as good as they feel, year after year.
Vulcanization is the secret behind the legendary durability of the 2750. By heat-treating our natural rubber, we dramatically increase its resistance to wear, weather, and abrasion. This commitment to technical excellence ensures that your Supergas maintain their integrity, mile after mile.

1911
The Brand’s Beginnings
Walter Martiny, a Swiss engineer who became an Italian citizen, founded “Walter Martiny Industria Gomma” in Turin at the foot of Superga hill. The company specialized in boots and other vulcanized rubber goods, using the technology patented by Charles Goodyear in 1844.
1925
The Soul Of Tennis
Martiny creates the first Italian tennis shoes with vulcanized rubber soles, now the model 2750. Inspired by his wife, who has a passion for tennis, he uses rubber instead of rope, which wears out quickly, producing the sole with the famous “orange peel” tread, durable and nonslip.
1951
The Boom Era
Superga became part of the Pirelli group, marking a significant turning point for the company. Thanks to this collaboration, production capacity grew rapidly, increasing from 2 to 12 million pairs of shoes per year by 1975, solidifying the brand as a key player in the footwear industry.
1966
SI ODIA. O SI AMA
The Pirella Göttsche Lowe agency create the commercial Superga. Si odia. O si ama (The Challenge), made famous by Firestarter, a song by the British musical group The Prodigy, which was chosen to accompany it.
1970
Superga Sport
To position itself in the sports footwear market, Superga begins to support a series of athletes. Claudio Sala, Adriano Panatta, and Ivan Lendl, among others, become ambassadors of the Superga Sport line, recognizable by the swallowtail logo.
2007
Italian Style
BasicNet acquires the brand. In a short time, Superga is again “The Italian Brand of Informal Footwear” worldwide, in the role of the “People’s Shoes of Italy.” Under its new ownership, Superga collaborates with various fashion brands – Comme des Garçons, Versus Versace, Philosophy, Alanui, Alaia – creating successful co-branding projects.

Superga celebrates the 100th anniversary of the 2750 with several initiatives: a campaign by Yoann et Marco, a pop-up at Merci in Paris, and a dedicated installation for the 107th edition of Pitti Uomo. The celebrations honoring the brand’s icon conclude with the release of the book Codice Superga.
